Our Mission

In Saitama Prefecture, particularly in and around Saitama City, the existing railway network is highly developed in the north-south direction, connecting residents efficiently with central Tokyo.

However, east-west mobility within the city remains limited. As a result, several challenges have emerged:

  • Chronic road congestion

  • Travel time uncertainty due to heavy dependence on buses

  • Increased crowding during stadium events and large gatherings

  • Reduced accessibility for commuting, education, healthcare, and shopping across the city

  • Higher exposure to traffic accidents caused by increased road traffic

  • Limited opportunities for people to stay, explore, and enjoy different areas of Saitama City

Our goal is not simply to build transportation infrastructure.

We aim to enhance the overall functionality and attractiveness of the city while contributing to a decarbonized and sustainable future.

Our Vision

East-West Metro Connections

We envision the development of two metro lines that strengthen east-west mobility across the city:

Line 1: Sakura Line

  • Sakura Ward Office → Urawa

Line 2: Misono Line

  • Musashi-Urawa → Urawa → Urawa-Misono

Hydrogen Power and Sustainable Energy

The project also explores the integration of green hydrogen power generation and supporting electrical infrastructure.

By producing low-carbon energy and supplying it directly to transportation systems, we aim to create a sustainable urban mobility model for future generations.

Infrastructure elements may include:

  • Metro lines and stations

  • Vehicle depots and maintenance facilities

  • Power substations and energy systems

  • Green hydrogen power generation facilities

  • Underground emergency shelter functions for disaster preparedness

1. 事業の大目的（Why）

埼玉県（とくにさいたま市周辺）は、既存の鉄道網が「東京方面への縦方向（南北）」に強い一方で、

市内・市域の東西移動（横方向）の選択肢が弱く、結果として以下が起きやすい構造にあります。

  • 慢性的な道路渋滞
  • バス依存による移動時間のぶれ、定時性の低下
  • 観客輸送（スタジアム、イベント）での混雑ピーク増幅
  • 東西をまたぐ通勤通学・通院・買い物の心理的距離の拡大
  • 交通事故リスクの増加（交通量が高いほど露出が増える）
  • 「さいたま市の滞在価値」や「回遊性」の不足

この構造課題に対して、単なる交通整備ではなく、**脱炭素も踏まえ“都市機能の底上げ”**を目的とします。

2. 事業内容の全体像（What）

  • 横の接続の地下鉄（2系統構想）
  • 水素発電・脱炭素の電力供給

本事業は大きく言うと、次の「二層構造（インフラ×まち体験）」です。

2-1. 一層目：公共性の高いインフラ（鉄道×電力）
  • 東西交通ライン強化のための地下鉄整備（2系統）
    • 1系統：桜区役所–浦和
    • 2系統：武蔵浦和–浦和–浦和美園
  • 水素発電所（グリーン水素想定）と電気設備（変電所等）の整備
    • 低炭素エネルギーで電力を作り、交通へ供給する構図
  • 車両基地、変電所、運行・保守体制の整備
  • 有事の際の地下シェルター（避難機能）としての活用
2-2. 二層目：まちの価値（地下街・駅ナカ・回遊）
  • 「おしゃれな地下鉄」だけでなく「おしゃれな地下街」を創造することで、**移動を“体験化”**し、日常利用の頻度を上げる
  • 駅・地下回廊を「学び・福祉・文化・商業」の複合にして、単なる通過点を“滞在点”に変える
  • 結果として、鉄道の採算性、まちの回遊性、地域の合意形成を同時に前に進める

3-1. 交通利用者
  • 東西移動の時間短縮、定時性の向上
  • 渋滞起因のストレス低減
  • 通勤通学・通院・買い物の行動範囲が拡張
