We cherish the belief that “People build the city, and the city shapes the people.”

A city is more than a collection of roads and buildings. It is shaped by the countless movements of everyday life, commuting, encounters, learning, working, and leisure. As these “motions of living” accumulate, they form the city’s unique character. In turn, that character shapes the behavior, values, and culture of the people who live there.

Today, mobility within Saitama Prefecture tends to be stronger in the north–south direction, while east–west movement remains a structural challenge. When transportation options are limited, congestion and lost time increase, and the freedom of daily life declines. That is why we believe improving east–west connectivity and enhancing the quality of mobility are essential foundations for building Urawa’s future.

The Urawa Metro Project is not simply about constructing a subway.
“We will build a stylish subway and create a stylish underground district.”
We aim to transform travel time from mere “movement” into an experience that is enjoyable, comfortable, and filled with learning and discovery. We envision stations and underground spaces not as places you simply pass through, but as safe, welcoming places to gather. We will create an urban foundation that is convenient in everyday life and protective in times of emergency. Working step by step in collaboration with government, businesses, educational institutions, and local communities, we will bring these values to life.

私たちは「人が街を造り、街が人を創る。」という考え方を大切にしています。

街は、道路や建物の集合体にございます。そこには日々の移動、出会い、学び、働き方、遊び方など様々な“暮らしの動き”が積み重なって、街の個性を形作って参ります。そうした街の個性が、そこに生きる人の振る舞いや文化を形づくっていきます。

いま、埼玉県内の移動は南北の接続に比べ、東西の移動が課題になりやすい構造があります。移動の選択肢が限られると、渋滞や時間のロスが増え暮らしの自由度も下がってしまいます。だからこそ私たちは、東西の利便性を高め、移動の質を上げることが、浦和の未来をつくる土台になると考えています。

浦和メトロプロジェクトが目指すのは、単なる地下鉄の建設ではありません。
「おしゃれな地下鉄を造り、おしゃれな地下街を創造する。」
移動時間をただの“移動”で終わらせず、楽しく、快適で、学びや発見のある“体験”へ。駅や地下空間を、通過点ではなく、安心して集える場所へ。平時は便利に、有事には守りとなる都市の基盤へ。そうした価値を、行政・企業・教育機関・地域の皆さまとの連携のもと、段階的に形にしていきます。

そして何より、このプロジェクトは「変わり続けること」を約束します。時代の課題は変化し、街の求める姿も変わります。だから私たちは、完成をゴールにせず、更新を続ける都市づくりを目指します。
